Camera Ready/Digital Artwork Requirements
When you are sending digital files to manufacture plates,it is important to include all the pieces necessary to outputthem correctly. Any missing fonts or graphics can result in incorrect artwork, and a delay in turnaround time while the problems are resolved.
We are a windows based art department and layout our plates in *Vector artwork created in Adobe Illustrator. All disks, including floppy, zip, or CDs must be PC/IBM formatted. Any disk that is Macintosh formatted will not open in our computers and will result in delays.
**Please note: We have, in the past, been sent artwork that was created for the internet, this kind of artwork is very low resolution (72 dpi) and will not print well on tape or labels.
CAMERA READY REQUIREMENTS: Camera ready artwork must be a clean black & white image on a slick or paper. We also accept business cards or letterheads. Please NO dark solid color backgrounds or faxes please. We will do everything possible to match your font type as close as possible from our font library, but it is not a guarantee we will have it. All information you can provide will be appreciated.

Adobe Illustrator: Windows version 9.0 or earlier• export file as eps/ convert text to outlines / NO embedded tiffs, jpegs, or gifs. All artwork must be vector artwork. Will also accept Adobe Illustrator 10 CS.
Corel Draw: Windows version 8.0 or earlier • export file as eps. metafile, or illustator / export text as curves
Quark Xpress: Windows version 6.0 or earlier • you can save a mac version as long as it is saved on an PC/IBM formatted disk
Photoshop: Windows version 7.0 or earlier •1/color designs can be saved as tiffs in a high resolution 300 dpi or higher.
Microsoft Word: Windows version 2003 • recommended for type only no design work.
File storage: PC/IBM formatted 3.5 floppy diskettes, and CD Rom
